Cascade Middle School
Dear Cascade Families:
I want to make you aware that around 11:35 a.m. today we went into a Secure protocol as a precautionary measure after someone reported that they might have heard gunshots in the area. We lifted the protocol after about 20 minutes after consulting with police, which determined there was no threat at or near the school. Police believe that the sound came from a nearby construction site or possibly from a nearby shooting range.
In a Secure protocol, all students are brought inside and the outside doors are locked.
We want to thank our students and staff for cooperating and following our safety and security protocols.
